From insights gathered from PUNCH, not less than 30 people including 12 policemen, five soldiers, nine civilians, and four members of a government backed militia, have been killed on the latest attack on the convoy of Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, by suspected Boko-Haram terrorists on Friday, September 25, 2020.
The Governor with his convoy had reportedly left Maiduguri for Baga, to prepare for the planned return of Internally Displaced Persons from Maiduguri to Baga camps when the convoy was attacked.
More dead bodies were reportedly discovered around the incident environs after the attack, many were also injured.
This attack comes barely two months after the Governor was attacked within the same axis by suspected Boko-Haram terrorists on his way from Baga.
