Police Arrests 11-Years-Old Boy Who Declared Self As IGP, Attacked Police Station In Edo


An 11-years-old boy has been allegedly arrested by the Edo State Police Command over alleged involvement in the attack on a police station at the Evbuotubu area of Benin city, Edo. 

Confirming this, Human Rights Advocate, Kola Edokpayi, and senior news reporter with the Edo State Broadcasting Service, Festus Alenkhe, disclosed that the young lad was apprehended for allegedly joining a gang of hoodlums that attacked the Oba Market Police Station recently amidst the controversial #EndSARS crisis. 

After the attack, the young boy was learnt to have worn and paraded himself in a police sergeant uniform, and also declared himself as the Inspector-General of Police. 

He was subsequently arrested after parading about in Benin metropolis, bragging about his new status while being hailed by his peers. 

He is to be arraigned in a juvenile court soon.
