Kano Popular Musician, Rarara To Be Probed For Featuring Married Woman In Music Video

A Shariah Court in Kano state has ordered an investigation into a popular musician in the state, Dahuda Kahutu, popularly known as Rarara, for allegedly featuring a 20-years-old married woman, Maryam Muhammad, in a musical video.

Recall that the musician had praised President Buhari in a released viral song, which raised many controversies.

Meanwhile, the court also ordered the probe of Rarara's producer, Abubakar Maishada, and Maryam, for their involved roles played in the matter.

Maryam's husband, Abdulkadir Inuwa, had filed a suit before the Sharia Court alleging that the musician eloped with his wife and featured her in a recent music video titled "Jihata, Jihata ce."

Judge Sarki Yola said that the court could not dismiss Inuwa's suit on claims that the musician was not aware of Maryam's marital status.

Judge Yola therefore asked the Divisional Police Officer of Kwali Police Station to investigate the matter and report back findings to the court.

Maryam, who's married to Inuwa, allegedly left home few months after her marriage without seeking her husband consent before surfacing in the said video.
