Over 38 Inmates Escape Police Custody In Enugu

As gathered from Lindaikeji's blog, over 38 inmates have reportedly escaped from police custody in Enugu state.

The escaped criminals were arrested and remanded in custody of the Enugu State Police Command during the COVID-19 lockdown in the state.

The inmates, between 38 to 40 in number, escaped from the police cells at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), inside the State Police Headquarters on Sunday night, December 20.

They were kept in the police custody due to the congestion of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Enugu.
