Notorious Abuja Kidnapper Abducted By Another Kidnapper, Pays Over N1.5m To Regain Freedom

A notorious kidnapper who operates within Abuja was kidnapped by another kidnapper and had to pay ransom to regain his freedom.

Mohammed Adamu was abducted by another kidnapper, Buba Babu, and paid the sum of N1,555,000 for his release.

Confirming this, Police Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba, while parading both kidnappers alongside other criminals in Abuja on Monday, January 11, said that 'Babu' was notorious for kidnapping citizens on Abuja highways.

He added that 'Babu' was third in command of a kidnap syndicate headed by one Buji, who was also neutralized by the police alongside the second-in-command.

Mba said Babu took over the leadership reins of the gang and was notorious for always killing kidnap victims.

However, Babu kidnapped Amodu and when the latter refused to pay, he was shot in the arm.

Meanwhile, Amodu had reportedly boasted of charms he possesses and could not be shot, as this prompted Babu to shoot him to ascertain his claims.

According to CP Mba, Amodu was popularly known as "Confirm" as he was a reputable marksman in the underworld, even though he was yet abducted by another kidnapper, Babu, and released after a paid ransom of N1.55million.

In his confessions, Amodu said there was a time his gang kidnapped 20 victims at a time and had saved up to N15m from his kidnapping acts. He added that he had also witnessed an operation where Buba kidnapped 55 persons from a luxurious bus at a time.
