Female Student Attempts Shooting Teacher In Cross River After Being Scolded For Tinting Hair

A teenage senior secondary school girl with name withheld, has been prevented from killing her teacher with a pistol in Cross River state.

Arrested at Government Secondary School, Ikot Ewa, in the Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River, she was about to shoot her target when she was disarmed.

Also confirming the incident, Chairman of the LGA council, Emmaniel Offiong-Bassey said;

“How she got the gun, I do not know. The information I have, which may not be very accurate, is that when she wanted to bring out the gun to shoot at her target, another teacher who was behind her quickly stopped her. I learnt she is still in the custody of the army.”

Offiong-Bassey further advised parents to pay attention to the company their children keeps and their daily activities.

The student as learnt had gone to school with tinted hair and her class teacher had scolded her back home to shave the hair.

This had allegedly triggered her anger as she got a gun and attempted to shoot her teacher.
