Photos Of Old Biafran Currencies Dated Back In 1960's Surfaces Online

Nigeria's civil war history has evidently prevailed after a Nigerian lady simply identified as Chioma, took to the popular micro-blogging platform "Twitter" to share photos of the 'Biafra' currencies found in her father's room. 

Chioma shared photos of clean coins and notes used during the nation's civil war which lasted from July 6, 1967 to January 15, 1970.

Posting the photos, she wrote;

“Found ancient Biafran currencies in my fathers house! 

These notes are over 60 years old and quite beautiful to say the least

Biafran pounds and shillings

50kobo and one Naira notes. Throwback to when these notes had value.”
