17-Year-Old "Mastermind" Behind Recent Massive Twitter Hack Arrested

Following the recent massive Twitter hack on accounts of international notable figures, the likes of former US President, Barrack Obama; Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Kanye West, and several others, the alleged mastermind behind the attacks have been reportedly arrested.

The 17-year-old boy identified as Graham Ivan Clark, alongside two others, have been charged.

Recall that the hackers had posted similar tweets requesting people to send bitcoins while promising to double their money.

Many people were scammed in the process as the deal was fraudulent.

Twitter had regained all the affected accounts and promised to beef up its cyber security.

Graham Ivan Clark, an high school graduate from Florida, US. was arrested on Friday, July 30, at his residence in Tampa.

He is being charged on 30 felony counts, including the hack, and other frauds.

Two other accomplices identified as Mason John Sheppard (19), of the United Kingdom, and Nima Fazeli (22), of Orlando, Fla, were accused of helping Mr Clark in the Twitter massive attack.

Mr Clark had reportedly convinced one of the company's employees that he was a co-worker in the technology department, he had requested for credentials to access the customer service portal, as this gave him access to impersonate and hack the various affected Twitter accounts.

Meanwhile, Mr Clark and his other accomplices had ignorantly left hints about their real identities during the Twitter attack. This enabled security operatives to hunt and trail them.
