Nigerian Youths Set To Form #YouthDemocraticParty

The ever vibrant youths of Nigeria has declared their interest to form a political party, The "Youth Democratic Party of Nigeria", YDP, which will basically meet their interests.

The intention to create the youth political party was declared on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, as a recent check on the social media platform saw the hashtag #YouthDemocraticParty among trending topics.

This is coming in heights of recent protests across the country by Nigerians who are demanding for the total scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit of the Nigeria Police.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has however dissolved the controversial police unit, SARS, and noted that it had been replaced with Special Weapons And Tactics Unit (SWAT), even though Nigerians are still displeased with the development.

According to various tweets by Nigerian youths, they want the complete change and overhaul of the governance system which has obviously failed.

They are of the opinion of the need for a transition of government from the older to younger generation as the previous (older generation) has ruled and failed over a long time.
